Interludes (7)

9-interludes-2Melpomene

Oh Melpomene, First is your art
Just as thought precedes action
Even when the calls of here and now
Mask the existence of a plan and projection

You´re the one who alternates in time the questions
And answers inside the inquiring mind
Forging the primal Theatre Stage
To open behind the spectator´s eyes
Pretending not to be the very same and only
Author of the internal monologue

I am just a humble player, not divine,
And lack the skills to play alone your lyre
You assigned a Second Actor to the scene
And thus built space for the truth
To be seen in neither of them separately,
Regardless for their virtues, but in between

Like in the shining stars that bolt the sky to heaven
The Constellation of Bootes appears in the North
Suggesting lines where there are only dots

Sing to us, Muse, and renew our sight
Of the thousand pains we suffer blind

Amplify our claim through your architecture
Adding to the singer, the dancers and the choir
Such is the violet plea of a Tragedy

Show us fierce cruelty in its last modernity
And bring the goat for the sacrifice to suffer like a devil
A Hero to fight hard against fate with one single dollar bill
Let his disgrace be our

 Liberty!
